Latin American Youth Entrepreneurship

Commitment in Entrepreneurship
As part of its global and regional initiatives to the spread of entrepreneurship in underrepresented areas, CTEK has committed to teaching young entrepreneurs how to succeed in spite of political, economic, and social barriers that generally plague startup entrepreneurs in Latin America.
CTEK has funded a collaboration between Young Americans Center for Financial Education in the United States and Rotary Clubs in Mexico, along with Mexican schools and youth centers, to teach a YouthBiz program for entrepreneurship to teens and young adults, with parental participation. Unique to this program is embedding ethics and a “GiveBack” ethos in students, which are core to the tenants of a healthy entrepreneurial ecosystem. Launched in fall of 2018, Latino YouthBiz is already in Mexico and will expand into Latin America in the years ahead.
